The Incredible North
Reached by road or air, the Lodge is located at the mouth of the very long English River system, whose waters flow into the Winnipeg River system. These two fast-running rivers combine to form 20 mile long Tetu Lake. The rocky shoreline, sandy beaches and shallow, weedy bays provide and excellent habitat for walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass. The outdoor enthusiast will be inspired by some of the most intriguing scenery anywhere. See the printable map sections below.
Driving through International Falls take Hwy. 71/Hwy 11 to Hwy. 17 and turn right towards Kenora. You will come to Kenora By-Pass, take Hwy. 17A to Hwy. 596 towards Minaki. At the Minaki junction, turn left onto Hwy. 525, this is a hardtop road except for the last 10 miles. At the 17 mile mark you will come to the Whitedog dam. Cross the dam and keep going until you come to a fork in the road where you will see our sign "CARIBOU FALLS LODGE" Turn right. Our driveway is 6 miles from the turn off and there is a sign. Turn left on the driveway - it's a long driveway.
